Shamrock Shakes, Green Beer & Lots of Laughs!

Last month’s St. Patrick’s Day Party was a big hit! The blarney Stone and funny Riddles made their way around. We enjoyed some green beer, pretzels with cheese and cupcakes. Our chef Mike made the traditional corned beef & cabbage, for a spectacular lunch! Debbie served up delicious Shamrock shakes that were relished by all! A big thank you to the family members that came out to share this fun day with us!

Residents had a nice trip to Dollar Tree last month. Maria & Winnie loaded up with some good stuff! We love to go on our Wednesday outings. We went to Culver’s last month and pigged out on burgers and ice cream! Keep an eye out for future trips!

Her Joy, Fun & Humor

resident spotlightWe recently welcomed Julie to our community! She was born in Seattle and her dad was in the Air Force. His career in the Air Force meant lots of travel. Julie’s family lived in Germany, and visited Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France. She graduated from high school in Germany! Her mom worked as head auditor for American Express military banking. Julie had only one sister and they were very close! She married her sweetheart, David, who was a harness racehorse trainer. Julie drove a horse trailer for a living at that time. Julie has three daughters: Katrina, Heather, and Kelly. She has four grandsons, which she adores! Later Julie worked as a Book Jobber, which is a researcher for libraries. Julie moved to Florida in 1999 and worked at CCS Medical as an Insulin Pump sales associate. She worked for them for 18 years. Julie loves animals, quilting, and watching TV; especially classic movies. Julie loves people and engaging in conversation. She has great sense of humor and loves to laugh! Julie is a Christian, and she taught Sunday School at New Hope Palm Harbor Church. Julie really likes it here at Cabot Cove, and especially likes the food. We are very happy to have Julie here with us!

Spring Has Sprung! Picnic Time!

We had a great time at Largo Central Park last month! Everyone enjoyed a yummy turkey sub sandwiches, chips and punch, along with cookies for dessert. Everyone brought jackets because it was chilly outside! But that didn’t hinder anyone from having a great time! A big shoutout to Dustin for driving us, and being a big help! Thank you to Aravilla Clearwater for lending us their bus!

We had a bus load for the picnic! We found a nice pavilion to sit and have our picnic. The beautiful and charming Largo Central Park was the perfect spot for a picnic. There were lots of people out at the park, despite the cold. Barbara’s sister & husband came along to join us. Micki’s granddaughter & great grand daughter also joined us! We love family members participation in our activities
